Minimal Floral Top
Hello Summer! Florals, Maxi dresses, and breezy kimonos - Which I am obsessed with, if you haven't noticed. There's always that one trend that just sticks and you wear it over and over. For me, this summer it has been the Kimono trend. Specifically this rose gold metallic kimono from Forever21. It has been through a lot and certainly passed the test of time - water, heat, you name it! It's such a neutral light color, so it look's great with anything. For this outfit, I decided to pair it with black H&M trousers and a minimal floral top I scored at Goodwill. Can you believe it? Only $2.99 for this floral embroidered staple piece. The top buttons in the back, making it completely durable- plus it's made of polyester. Usually kimonos are the "cherry on top" of a simplistic look which is why I kept the center monochromatic. I also like to think a lot about composition- black straight down the middle creates a linear look (also a tip for looking slimmer!)
There's a special place in my heart for embroidery, especially after my trip to Peru (read about it here). Boy, do I love a good street-style look! Yet, this minimal floral top is perfect those dinner dates when you desire a more polished look.
